Engr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Highway Engineer for SARM has over 33 years of valuable experience in the preparation of design, tender documents, evaluation of bids and work award services, preparation of work program, guide and supervise construction works of roads, bridges and culverts. For construction supervision he has been responsible for quality and cost control, work measurement and bill certification, preparation of variation orders, project monitoring, preparation of progress reports and maintaining liaison with all related agencies. (Design Phase) IDB financed Detailed Engineering Design (DED) & Project management and Supervision Consultancy Services (MPW/373/IDB/ICB-Con-I) of 51 km long Rehabilitation of Doshi-Pol-E –Khomri Existing Road (Super Highway) (IDB Loan No. AF-020). Year : July 2007 – Dec. 2007date (6 months)
ADB financed South West Road Network Development Project under RHD (Resident Engineer, Feb. 2001 - June 2007).
World Bank financed Second Road Rehabilitation & Maintenance Project under RHD (Resident Engineer, March 1996 – January 2001).
ADB financed Feeder Road Improvement Project under RHD (Civil Engineer, January 1992 – May 1992).
Construction of 40 km Duel and 26 km Ring Road and Structures for Al-Aswad Establishment, Jeddah, KSA (Civil Engineer, January 1992 – May 1992).
