Miah Muhammad Quayyum, have earned about 39 years of valuable experience in planning, construction supervision, quality control and monitoring of construction works of Roads & Highways, Bridges and Culverts Projects of RHD and Relief and Rehabilitation Directorate of GOB. I have particularly rendered my services from 1987 to 2005 as Resident Engineer while I have successfully accomplished my services in different aided projects and assisted Expatriate Personnel where I acquired unprecedented appreciation which was instrumental for holding my present position. My relevant experience are summarized below:
- Contract Specialist, Construction of Jabul Saraj-Nijrab Road Project, Kabul, Afghanistan. Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Afghanistan.
- Resident Engineer, Construction of 1331 m long Pre-stressed Concrete Girder (PSCG) Flyover at Chittagong.
- Resident Engineer, Construction of Link Bridge / Culvert between Tejgaon and Gulshan Shooting Club.
- Deputy Team Leader, Road Network Assessment Work during the year 2008-2009 (Package 2) under Roads & Highways Department. The project included Road Condition Assessment of 9137 km of National, Regional and Zilla roads, Classified traffic count of 485 nos. of stations, Benkelman Beam tests of 3326 stations and Video Traffic counts of 50 nos. stations.
- Technical Director, Leading the Roads, Highways and Bridge/Infrastructure Projects of the Firm. Responsible for overall management, oversee works of the following projects: Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of Railway Overpass and Road connecting between Bijoy Sarani and Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka Under RAJUK”. Construction of Port Facilities in order to prevent unauthorized encroachment of the Buriganga River and its Foreshore Land of BIWTA.
- Resident Engineer, IDA financed Dhaka Urban Transport Project (DUTP), DTCB, RHD. A) Construction of Mohakhali Fly-Over [Contract No. (W) C1 of DUTP]. B) Improvement of Tongi Bypass Road & Bridge [Contract No. (W) C7 of DUTP].
- Resident Engineer, IDA financed Dhaka Urban Transport Project (DUTP), DTCB.
- Senior Structural Engineer/Resident Engineer, DANIDA financed Dhaka-Aricha Highway Rehabilitation Project , RHD.
- Resident Engineer, IDA financed Road Rehabilitation & Maintenance Project-1 (Contract 2/3A, 2/3B, 2/3C, 2/4 & 2/2 ) of Phase-II, RHD.
- Resident Engineer, IDA financed Road Rehabilitation & Maintenance Project-1 ( Contract 2/3A & 2/3C ) of Phase-II, RHD.
- Resident Engineer, IDA financed Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project-1, Phase-II (Contract,.2/1A) of RHD in association with Louis Berger International Inc., USA.
- Resident Engineer, USAID financed Bridges and Culverts Project (Zone-VI) of Rajshahi Division Relief and Rehabilitation Directorate.
- Asstt. Resident Engineer, IDA financed Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project-1 (Contract 1/6 & 1/2) of Phase-I, RHD.
- Supervising /Resident Engineer, USAID financed Bridges and Culverts Project at Hossainpur Upazila under Dhaka Division under Relief & Rehabilitation Directorate.
- Drainage Engineer, Chittagong Municipal Services Sub-Project of Chittagong Municipality, Chittagong.
