Md. Liaquot Ali Sikder has long 47 (Forty-Seven) years of extensive diversified experiences both home and abroad in the management of overall project planning and implementation, execution, construction supervision, quality control, supervise laboratory tests, quantity surveying, contract administration and execution of large Building Projects, Roads, Bridges & Flyovers Project under different departments including Roads & Highway Department, Govt. of Bangladesh. His major relevant projects are summarized below:
- Worked as Director (Operations), Spectra Engineers Ltd. for Construction of SASEC- RCP/ICB/W-01 (Lot No. WP-01) – Improvement of Road from Vogra Bazar Intersection to Kaliakoir Bypass Intersection (18.9 km) from 2-Lane to 4-Lane including Structures- 4 (Four) nos. flyovers & 3(Three) nos. of Bridges, (FIDIC Contract).
- Served as Director of Bengal Development Corporation Ltd to plan, monitor and Supervise all construction projects under the Company. Completed: Construction work of NCC Bank Head Office Building at Motijhel C/A, Dhaka (22 Storied Building). Construction work of Al- Arafah Bank Head Office Building at Motijheel C/A is in Progress. (16 Storied Building).
- Served as Operative Director & Project Director for Construction of Road and Bridge under Bengal Development Corporation Ltd. (a) CPTFP-1, Flyover Project in Chittagong Port Area (FIDIC Contract)
(b) Khulna By- pass Road Project, GOB Contract. (c) RMC-5, Chittagong- Cox’s Bazar Road (FIDIC Contract) (d) PMP 2003-04/11 Jessore (e) PMP 2004-05/01 Gazipur (Last part) (f) PMP 06-07/02 Khagrachari
- Served as Addl. Project Director for Construction of Road and Bridge under BDC-NCE-FF Cruz Joint Venture. (a) Dhaka-Sylhet Road Contract No.2C Narshingdi-Bhairab-38 km Long (FIDIC Contract) (b) Dhaka Sylhet Road Contract No.1C Ashulia-Jagadishpur-40 Km long (FIDIC Contract) (c) PMP 2001 Sreemongal.
- Served as Operative Director for construction of Road and Bridge under Bengal Development Corporation Ltd. (BDC-NCE Consortium). (a) Railway Link Project, Tangail (under Samwhan Corpn., Korea) (b) DUTP A4 Mirpur (Dhaka City Corporation).
- Road construction of Contract No.1-Natore-Dashuria Section (N6) of IDA financed RRMP II of RHD, 40 km long. (FIDIC Contract) SMEC, BCL and Queensland Transport.
- Road construction of Contract No.2/2- Pirganj to Rangpur Section of IDA financed RRMP II of RHD, 32 km long. (FIDIC Contract) Louis Berger International Inc. USA and SARM Associates Ltd.
- In-charge of overall construction work of the Contract No. 4, 86 Km long- Reconstruction of Haluaghat-Mymensingh-Netrokona-Thakurakona Road of FRIP. (FIDIC Contract)
- Worked in Iraq for Construction of Railway Station Building & Living Quarters under (SCCIP) from 1982- 1984.
- Served in the Road Research Laboratory of the Roads & Highways Deptt.
- Completed Post-Graduate Diploma Course at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand on Transportation Engineering under UNDP Scholarship through RHD.
- Served in the Department of Roads & Highways Deptt. as Sub-Divisional Engineer, Supervised the construction work of Khulna-Mongla Road (33 km) FIDIC Contract (Embankment and Pavement), 40 (forty) box culverts & 7 (Seven) nos. of Bridges in association with an Australian Consultants (SMEC).
- Served in the Deptt. of Roads & Highways Deptt. as Structural Designer. Designed different bridges and roads in different locations of Bangladesh.
- Feasibility study and detailed survey of a road project in Dhaka City.
